Yasuo (Shinichi Tsutsumi) works at a transport company in Hiroshima. After the birth of his son Akira, Yasuo had the happiest moment of his life. Tragedy strikes Yasuo when his wife Misako (Naomi Nishida) dies in an accident. He is overcome with grief, but attempts to raise Akira into a fine man even though he has poor parenting skills.
