On the Track or Off (Chinese: 勇往直前) aka The Track is a TVB series released in 2001. It storyline revolves around the horse racing business.

Gam Yuen(Steven Ma), Ah Dong(Frankie Lam) and Ah Tong(Bondy Chiu) were friends for a long time. Ah Dong and Ah Tong were dating, though. Gam Yuen always had an admiration towards horses and wanted to be a horse master. Gam Yuen happened to meet Ah Tong's sister, Ah Yi(Ada Choi). They didn't get along well at first because Ah Yuen thought that Ah Yi was his jinx. Anyway, they grew to like each other later on. On the other hand, Ah Dong and Ah Tong began to have a problem and it was getting serious when Ah Dong learned that Ah Tong used to like Gam Yuen. Ah Dong also had a problem about his gambling and things were getting worse and worse and he statred to have a mental problem. Ah Tong (who never showed her love and care to Ah Dong much) decided to dump him after he caused her and Gam Yuen a lot of troubles. Ah Dong, so, decided to jumping off the building in front of her for a revenge. But what he never knew was Ah Tong was actually glad that he did that because she finally could get a chance with Ah Yuen. Ah Yuen was sad about Ah Dong's death and he went drinking and ended up sleeping with Ah Tong. Ah Yi was very sad to learned about that and couldn't forgive him, so finally Ah Yuen and Ah Yi had to end their "about-to-be" relationship and remained friends. Many things happened later on, Ah Tong became meaner and meaner, Ah Yi also met someone new like Wyman(Shek Sau), a matured social worker. There're also more on Ah Yi's sister, Ah Yan(Yu Wing Sze) and her friend, Ah On(John Tang) story like how they developed their relationship and how they became jockeys.
