Set at a laundromat in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Drama series follows part-time employee Nagi Nagumo (Rena Matsui), laundromat owner (Kenichi Takito) and its customers.
Former SKE48 member Matsui Rena has landed her first lead role in a drama titled "Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki", which will premiere this March.
An original work by Iizuka Ken, "Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki" is a drama that takes place at an eccentric coin laundry in Atsugi City of Kanagawa Prefecture. Matsui will play the role of a 25-year-old woman who works part-time at the coin laundry. Besides Matsui, the drama will star Takito Kenichi, Kakuta Akihito (Tokyo 03), Yamada Maho, Kishii Yukino, Miura Shunsuke, and Bengaru.
Matsui will also be in charge of the drama's theme song in collaboration with Charan-Po-Rantan. The song "Shabon" will be released under the name "Matsui Rena and Charan-Po-Rantan" on April 6.
