In the innovative blending of fact and fiction, filmmaker Jake Wade Wall explores parallel stories of the history of a region of Texas known as The Devil’s Backbone and the life of his estranged father who resided there until his death. However, the story soon turns to focus on Jake as his own sanity comes into question and is it tied to the stories of the supernatural that roam The Devil’s Backbone.
Customer Reviews:
A truly new genre in cinema that crosses fact, documentary, and fiction. The story is about a man (Jake) that visits the Devil's Backbone in Texas to make amends with his departed father. The story is told by real (not actors) siblings and friends that will make you laugh and cry as the story unwinds. The movie leaves you wanting more and tantalizes you to visit the Devil's Backbone in Texas. But as one interviewee states "that's why I pack...my 40 caliber". A movie for everyone that has had to face issues with their father (and who has not) and all that just want to share a frightening tale. Brilliant!!!
