传说湘西云岭是养尸地，需50年做法一次破除煞气。正值做法破煞之年，冒牌道士在镇上摆坛做法未起破煞之效。...
传说湘西云岭是养尸地，需50年做法一次破除煞气。正值做法破煞之年，冒牌道士在镇上摆坛做法未起破煞之效。镇上有一戏子（袁祥仁）收养了一群调皮捣蛋的孩子，整天打闹。正值夜晚僵尸破关而出，大僵尸连害两条人命，小僵尸被狗追上树。此间，张天师正宗传人野道士（梁家仁）路经此地，发现僵尸踪迹并告知镇上之人，却又无法证明，被镇上之人追打。其后梁家仁一直追寻僵尸踪迹，发现小僵尸和孩子在一起。在小僵尸和孩子相处之时发生一系列闹剧。野道士一直无法证明有僵尸，被村民绑至祠堂，是夜，僵尸出现，法师和导师联手捉僵尸。故事自此展开。
