Raising Hope follows the adventures of the lovingly dysfunctional Chance family. Raising Hope airs Fridays at 9/8c on FOX.
"Raising Hope" is expanding its extended family for Season 4.
"Saturday Night Live" veteran Molly Shannon is set for a recurring role on the FOX comedy, Deadline reports. The actress will be taking on the role of Maxime, the new owner of Howdy's, the grocery store where Jimmy and Sabrina work. There are scant other details surrounding the role, though we imagine she'll be a superb antagonistic force for Gregg Binkley's Barney. She'll be making her first appearance in episode four.
Shannon is racking up roles left and right, as she's also been tapped for an arc in the upcoming HBO series "Getting On." In the U.S. version of the award-winning BBC Four medical comedy, the actress will play Phyllis Sullivan, who's described as "a sweet, slightly discombobulated soul -- at the end of her rope -- who is giving too much of herself up in caring for children, spouse, pets and now, her ailing mother.
Season 4 of "Raising Hope" will premiere Friday, Nov. 8 in its new timeslot.
