At the carnival some of the other Cheerios asks if they're dating. Kitty says they're just friends. After they leave she asks if they have a relationship on the down-low because she needs her social status "to survive."
Santana gets Rachel a job waiting tables on Broadway at a diner where servers occasionally sing.
Blaine and Kurt talk about the possibility of getting back together. Blaine promises never to cheat on him again. Kurt seems up for it. They break into a performance of Got To Get You In My Life with band accompaniment.
Sue is back at McKinley as the new principal. She got there by filling Figgins' office with things like porno magazines and a copy of Mein Kampf. She's asked by the district to take over for a trial period of a few months. Figgins is now a custodian.
Artie and Kitty sing You've Got To Hide Your Love Away while we see they are publically pretending not to be an item while secretly passing notes and meeting in empty classrooms. Artie seems torn by the situation.
Blaine announces to New Directions that he and Kurt are back together and he is going to ask Kurt to marry him. He wants their help with the proposal. He also wants to include The Warblers, Vocal Adrenaline and the school for the deaf, since Blaine wants this to be a cultural statement. This leads to a performance of Help as New Directions goes from school to school. It seems to work.
Tina asks Artie if he and Kitty are an item. When he tells her what's going on she's thinks he needs to have more respect for himself. He tells her to butt out.
The Funny Girl decision-makers have a meal at her restaurant. She waits on them and asks for an update. They aren't sure if she's a star "just yet." She decides to prove it to them by singing A Hard Day's Night.
Will and Roz wait for a meeting with Sue, both worried their clubs will be under attack. But Sue thinks that having successful teams will help her take over principal permanently. Essentially she'll let Cheerios and New Directions stay if they win national championships.
At the next New Directions meeting Tina outs Artie and Kitty's arrangement. Kitty says she wanted to be sure she really liked Arie before risking both her heart and social standing. Kitty says she now wants them to be public. Everybody besides Tina seems happy.
Blaine meets with Sam, Jake and Ryder to discuss how nasty Tina has become. He thinks she's falling apart and they need to step in to help her.
Figgins promises Sue she's won't get away with what she's doing. She responds by dumping a bucket of rancid meant on the floor he was cleaning.
Blaine, Sam, Jake and Ryder sing When I Saw Her Standing There in full Beatles costume. Afterwards they offer their services as potential prom dates. She picks Sam because he's the "least gay and least Asian."
Burt brings Kurt to the surprise proposal his son is very much aware is coming. Kurt tells his father he's worried that the two of them are still so young. Burt talks about the origins of his relationship with Kurt's mother. He tells Kurt he gave Blaine his opinion on the subject, but won't tell Kurt what he said.
Kurt is greeted with Blaine signing All You Need Is Love with "He" Loves You, backed-up by New Directions and the other choirs. Rachel is also on hand to help. Kurt seems impressed. He proposes to Kurt on the spot where they first met. Blaine drops to his knee and asks Kurt to marry him. An emotional Kurt says yes and everybody cheers.
