Harashima Manji is an ordinary section chief in a small-and-middle-enterprise which is a subcontractor of a major electronics manufacturer. When he accidentally discovers that something is not quite right with a series of manpower changes, he ends up being caught in the middle of a fight against greater evil.

Manji Harashima (Noriyuki Higashiyama) is the #4 section chief in sales at a mid-sized electronics company. His performance is always bad. He is always reprimanded by his boss. On the other hand, Sakado (Hidekazu Mashima) is the #1 section chief in sales and is widely acknowledged as a true ace. But suddenly, Sakado is charged with abuse of powers by Hakkaku (Kotaro Yoshida) and fired. Manji must now take over Sakado's position.

Manji is shocked to say the least. He becomes suspicious of Sakado's termination and begins to look for the truth. Manji then encounters a hidden puzzle involving a product which his company subcontracted.
