Tobu Railway Co. is holding a stamp-collecting event to celebrate the July 13 premiere of the anime TV series "Kimi no Iru Machi" (A Town Where You Live).
From July 6 through Aug. 31, participants are encouraged to collect stamp prints available at four locations on Tokyo's Tobu Tojo Line, including Ikebukuro and Narimasu stations and two spots on the shopping street running from the south exit of Narimasu Station. Those who collect two stamp prints at the stations and another at one of the two spots in the shopping street can receive a special plastic file folder.
The stamp print of story protagonist Haruto Kirishima is available at Ikebukuro Station, while the ink stamp of character Yuzuki Eba is provided at Narimasu Station. Stamp prints of Asuka Mishima and Kyosuke Kazama can be found at the shopping street locations.
The Narimasu area in Itabashi Ward serves as main locales in the story, and various spots will be featured in the anime.
The animated series will air on six networks affiliated with TV Tokyo Corp. It is based on a manga of the same name by Koji Seo that started its run in Kodansha Ltd.'s Weekly Shonen Magazine comic anthology in 2008, and has sold more than 4 million copies.
Voice actor Yoshimasa Hosoya will play the leading role of Kirishima, with voice actor Megumi Nakajima portraying his love interest, Eba.
Produced by Gonzo K.K., the anime series is directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi, who is known for the animated TV series "Casshern Sins" and "Dream Eater Merry." "K-On!" series screenwriter Reiko Yoshida is authoring the story.
