Amnesia (アムネシア, Amuneshia?) is a Japanese visual novel series by Idea Factory. It was first released on August 2011 for PlayStation Portable, and then a sequel (called 'fan-disk' in Japan) "Amnesia Later" was released on March 2012.

The series is well received in Japan, so it has a lot of related merchandise released, such as Drama CDs, Character music CDs, books, etc. A new 3rd game, called "Amnesia: Crowd" is planned to be release in 2013. Also, it will be adapted into an anime television series airing in spring, 2013 too.

In Japan, Amnesia is classified as an otome game and like most otome games, the player takes role of the main female character who can choose from a variety of male characters as her 'love interest'. However, in Amnesia, the male characters that the female player character can interact with are based on the symbolic suit symbols from a playing card deck with the following storylines (commonly known as 'routes') in the game: Heart, Spade, Diamond, and Club. Depending on which route you pick, your relationship with each character is different.
