On May 11, 2012, ABC renewed Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 for a second season. The episode order is unknown, however, the remaining six episodes of season one are going to air as a part of season two. Ray Ford, who plays Luther, has been promoted to a series regular for season two, while Liza Lapira has been demoted to a recurring role. Busy Philipps, who co-starred in Dawson's Creek with James Van Der Beek, will guest star as a fictionalized version of herself.

The series follows June, as she moves to New York City to pursue her dream job, until she finds out that it no longer exists and she ends up moving in with a con-artist party-girl named Chloe. The two don't get along at first; however, when Chloe's attempts at scamming June backfire, they end up forming an unlikely friendship.
