Months later, Brennan is still on the run from the FBI, after being framed for murder by Christopher Pelant. The remaining team searches for the real killer. They find Pelant killed the guidance counelor and proof Brennan was framed.
Max, Bones and baby Christine have been on the run for months since Christopher Pellant set her up for murder. Now they leave clues for Booth to realize the corpse they leave dug-up in his Virginia home small town is probably an early victim of Pellant's, the school counelor whose written recommendation was key in the ICT genius's Stanford admission. Booth has a hard timing countering his buddy, Agent Ray Haffner, in charge of arresting Bones. Despite childish emotive hostility from Angela's side, Bones' forenic interim, Dr. Clark Edison, helps clear the case which looks likely to end his contract. Pellant, now a children's computer introduction intructor, can't resist hacking, but a last surprise up his sleeve since childhood changes everything once more.
